Before you deposit: addresses and networks
Unos 7 min
Depositing to SleeplessNode is an on-chain transfer: you send funds from your wallet or exchange to your dedicated deposit address on the platform. To make sure funds arrive correctly, you need to understand two concepts: address and network.
Address
An address is like an account number—a string of letters and numbers. SleeplessNode assigns every user a dedicated deposit address for each supported coin. When funds arrive, the system identifies them automatically and credits your account.
Network
The same asset can travel on multiple blockchains, each called a network. The sender and the recipient must use the same network. Mismatching networks can prevent funds from arriving, or make them unrecoverable.
Networks SleeplessNode supports for deposits:
| Coin | Network | Common exchange name | Confirmations needed | Estimated time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BTC | Bitcoin network | Bitcoin | 2 | About 20 min |
| ETH | Ethereum mainnet | Ethereum (ERC20) | 12 | About 3 min |
| BNB | BNB Smart Chain | BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) | 15 | About 1 min |
Arrival times lengthen when the network is congested.
Minimum deposit
Each deposit has a minimum amount, currently equivalent to 100 USDC—check the deposit page for the current figure. Deposits below the minimum will not credit automatically and require support to process manually.
What to check before sending
- Coin: The coin you are sending must match the deposit address. An ETH address only accepts ETH.
- Network: The network you select at your exchange must match the table above.
- Address: After pasting, verify the first and last four characters. Some malware replaces clipboard addresses.
- Amount: Must be at or above the minimum, and allow for the withdrawal fee charged by your exchange.
For a first deposit, send a small amount just above the minimum, confirm it arrives, then send the rest.
